Current and anticipated openings exist for skilled tradesmen in the following areas:

  • Vessel Fitter: Must be able to read blueprints, perform necessary mathematical functions, layout and cut with oxygen/acetylene rig burn with plasma cutter. Must have experience with pipe, pipe fittings, flanges, couplings, and different tank components. Fitters must be able to align flanges within their two hole pattern and set nozzles to the correct elevations and projection.
  • Tank Welder: Must be certifiable to the strict guidelines of the ASME Construction Code. Must pass x-ray welding test using the GMAW Process (Mig) in the spray arc mode. Other processes used will be SMAW (stick) flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead, and GTAW (Tig) for small diameter butt welds. Must be able to make quality welds on various materials, c/s, s/s, and alloys.
  • Shop Helper: Responsibilities include assisting fitters and welders as stated above. Helpers will also do tasks such as grind, cut, burn, drill and punch holes, tack weld, move material, clean the shop, test and prepare tanks for shipment.
  • Auto Cad Technician: Must have certification with Auto Cad, degree in math, minimum 6 months working experience. Will draw storage tanks, pressure vessels and steel plate work. Pay DOE.
